Nursery worker is charged with sex offences

A nursery school worker was today charged with seven offences, including sexual assault and distributing indecent images of children.

Vanessa George, 39, from Plymouth, is accused of four offences of sexual assault and one count each of making, possessing and distributing indecent images of children.

George is in custody at Charles Cross police station, where she will be detained until she appears before Plymouth magistrates court tomorrow.

Police were continuing to speak to staff at the Little Ted’s nursery in Plymouth and the parents of children who attend the centre.
