Pampers is launching a new interactive event for families to show parents how to help their babies enjoy up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep at night.
It seems the biggest worry for parents isn?t money but getting a good night of slumber. And as I’ve recently had my second child, sleep deprivation (or finding ways to combat it!) is a big deal, so frankly credit crunch or not, I would put sleep far, far above money.
In a recent survey conducted by Pampers, more than 25,000 parents stated the biggest challenge of parenthood is a lack of sleep*, with nine out of ten even going so far to call it ?priceless?. So to provide UK parents with help and advice that will get their babies to sleep better – and give them a well deserved rest – Pampers is launching the ?Golden Sleep? tour, which is coming to London?s Westfield Shopping Centre from Friday 7th August to Sunday 9th August. Golden Sleep opening times are 2-7pm on Friday and 11am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
It?s no surprise that UK parents chose sleep as the number one issue, but it would seem that most don?t know how to make it better – which is why this August Pampers is touring the UK with the interactive Golden Sleep train. In addition to London the sleeper train will be visiting Manchester and Glasgow, and features a sleep expert on hand to provide one-on-one advice to parents and interactive and information-filled carriages to provide information and support direct to parents with the aim of helping them to better understand how to get a good night?s sleep for their baby ? and therefore themselves too!
The Golden Sleep train has been created to provide simple and effect information on how to help babies sleep better, which will in turn benefit the whole family. Mums and dads can learn all about how to establish a good bedtime routine to help babies sleep through the night in a fun and interactive way, while babies and kids can also enjoy touching, feeling and playing with all the low level toys that the train includes.
From the moment parents and children step insideThe Golden Sleeper train they will be transported to a world where they can see everything through the eyes of a baby. Their journey to Golden Sleep begins in the engine room with an introduction to the train; from there a selection of over-sized items such as A, B, C charts and bedtime story books will be present in each carriage to give them a different learning experience to help them understand the importance of sleep to a baby?s development.
Professor Stores
Plus in the fourth carriage parents will get the opportunity to speak directly to a sleep expert about their issues. Professor Gregory Stores, sleep expert on the Pampers Village Parenting Panel and Emeritus Professor of Developmental Neuropsychiatry at the University of Oxford, will be one of the guest experts on hand each day of the event to offer general advice and feedback for parents on how to get a good night?s sleep. Parents will also be taken through the 12 Pampers Golden Sleep Top Tips to provide general guidelines on how to encourage good sleep habits in their baby from four months old.
The train is an imaginative route from start to finish, so when families exit the children will have their very own door made just for little people to leave through. Mums and dads aren?t left out as they will receive a goody bag filled with products which are helpful for a perfect night?s sleep. Plus in every bag there is the chance to enter into a competition to win one of five one-on-one sessions with Professor Stores for a more in-depth discussion on any sleep problems they might have.
