Aimed at children aged between four and seven years old, the GGC website (www.greatgrubclub.com) has a range of fun characters made up from different fruits and vegetables that children can email to their family and friends. Sarah Kovandzich, Children?s Education Manager at World Cancer Research Fund, which runs the site, said: ?Christmas is a time to send a nice message in a card to let people know we are thinking of them. This e-greeting is a little bit different though, as it has a healthy twist to it so that it is a fun way to get the healthy eating message across to children.
?All you have to do is pick a character, add a suitable message from the selection and send it to your friends to wish them a healthy, happy Christmas.?
The GGC website aims to encourage healthy eating and an active lifestyle in a fun and informative way. The site is full of positive imagery and WCRF hopes that this will help children to make good food choices.
