Father killed jumping on train to retrieve son’s birthday present

A doting father was killed by a train as he tried to jump back on board to retrieve presents for his family.

David Davies, 38, slipped between two carriages as the train doors shut when he went back to pick up a toy car for his son, Daniel, and flowers for his wife, Shelley.
