Are you at a loss about where to take the kids this summer? Well help is at hand – this summer, Family & Friends Railcard is launching a ?Mum Take Me Here’ competition that invites children to nominate their favourite family friendly days out in the UK by train.

At the end of the summer, all the nominations will be compiled on a special new section on the Family & Friends website, forming an indispensible guide to great, easy to reach days out that kids are guaranteed to love, separated by region.

How to enter
The competition is open to all those under the age of 16, and to enter kids are simply required to submit up to 250 words describing their favourite day out, together with any supporting photos or video clips.

The three entries deemed best by an independent judging panel in September ? one of whose members will be a school child – will win an amazing prize package worth ?1,000, including a trip to the destination of their choice by train for up to two adults and two children. Those wanting to take part or find out more should visit www.familyandfriends-railcard.co.uk/mumtakemehere

The Family & Friends Railcard offers savings on rail travel for just ?26 a year – it allows anyone travelling with children to get 1/3 off adults? fares and up to 60% off kids? fares across Great Britain for a full 12 months. Up to four adults and four children (aged up to 15 years old) can travel using one Family & Friends Railcard and the minimum group size is one child and one named cardholder.
