Every so often we get sent products from different brands to test out and review. Here is our latest round of must-have baby products…
When I saw this product, how I wished it had been around when we had our first child – but using it with our now two-year-old is good two.
If you are going to buy a baby bath for the first time – this is the one to buy. Every seasoned parent will know that baby bath’s just take up necessary space during the time that your child uses it, and then you’re stuck with it afterwards unless you throw it away or give it away.
The FlexiBath is a sturdy, plastic bath that folds flat. It’s as simple as that. They come in a range of colours (green, blue, purple, pink and white) so there is something for everyone, and at £19.99 the FlexiBath is very affordable. Available at www.johnlewis.co.uk.
Tippitoes Nikki Bug Activity Mat
Every seasoned mum knows that babies don’t sleep all day, every day forever. It gets to a stage when they want to be entertained, and you won’t get away with leaving them in the Moses’ basket or cot if they are wide awake (and why would you want to when it’s not bed or nap time, anyway?).
The Nikki Bug Activity mat is fantastic from birth because you can lay your baby on it, and let them admire the toys hanging in front of them. As they grow, they will be able to appreciate the quirky noises that the mat makes, and the toys, too.
The mat is very sumptuous in fabric – very soft and good quality. And the colours are wonderfully bright and fun.
The added bonus is that it is easy to pack away and folds quite flat, so you can store it or take it with you on trips, or when you are visiting friends or relatives.
OXO Tot Kneeling mat
Bath time with babies and toddlers can be fun, but boy can it be painful on the knees!
Thankfully, OXO Tot have come up with the perfect solution for our tired knees – the kneeling mat. The mat is water resistant and gives the much-needed cushion support to the knees. You can kneel on it while it is folded, or open it out, and it folds neatly to hang on the back of the bathroom door.
Tippitoes Move Stroller
One of the biggest purchases parents make when buying baby products in preparation for a new baby is the pushchair. Whether you choose style, convenience or brand, it’s not unusual that once your baby is older and you are travelling a lot more with them that you will want to get a stroller, too.
In comes the Tippitoes Move Stroller, which is perfect for babies from six months old. What we like about the Move Stroller is that it is very functional, but also has a bit of style, too. A lot of basic strollers can be quite flimsy looking, and come in garish pink or blue and basically look cheap and tacky. This is not true of the Tippitoes Move Stroller – you can see that it will last through baby to toddler and more, and don’t be surprised if you can pack it away after that and use it for your next baby, too.
The Move Stroller is very sturdy, and comes with a lot of features, like a five-point harness, a raincover (which not all strollers come with), swivel wheels and can recline in many positions (which is as plus, as a lot of strollers either don’t recline at all, or only have two positions). It also comes with a shopping basket and a carry handle, so if your toddler decides to walk, you can carry the stroller on your shoulder quite easily.
