One in 10 schoolchildren has seen a fellow pupil being attacked with a weapon in the past year. And nearly one in seven youngsters has seen another child carrying a weapon such as a knife or air pistol, a survey reveals today.
Parents are also becoming more aware of knife culture, with three-quarters saying they believe the threat to their children has increased over the past year.
