An anti-drinking campaign aimed solely at women will be launched shortly, it has been revealed.
The ?10 million pound initiative will focus on professional women between the ages of 30 and 50.? The ads will use shock tactics to highlight alcohol’s links to liver failure, obesity and cancer.
Publis Health minister Dawn Primaloro said: “A lot of women are drinking much more than they think they are.
“These are women who may think a glass of wine equals one unit of alcohol. But with the increased strength of wine and large size of glasses, a large glass could be anything from one-and-a half units up to three-and-a-half.”
