Woman turns down ?100,000 job to become a plasterer

She could be earning ?100,000 a year in the City. But Gemma McCoyd has turned down a career in the Square Mile.

Instead she’s living on about ?6,000 a year while she learns to be a plasterer.

Miss McCoyd, 24, who has a first-class masters degree in mathematics, insists she is doing what she loves.
