20,000 mums have taken up a direct selling business in the past year alone

Are in need of extra cash and are thinking of a way to do this flexibly? Do you wish you could earn money in a way that doesn’t have to require a huge sacrifice on the time you spend with your family?

You’re not alone – around 20,000 mothers with young children started to ‘direct selling’ jobs in the past year fitting it around their commitments.

Many mothers say they needed to earn money after the loss of their child benefit, which is now being capped according to salary.

said it has witnessed a 20 percent increase in the number of working mothers in the past year, to a total of around 120,000.

Working mums have signed up with direct selling companies such as Avon, Amway, Betterware and Kleeneze which sell to people directly, rather than using a shop.

If you’re considering doing the same, we have tips and advice on how to choose the best company to partner with and make sure you don’t get burnt by joining a pyramid scheme. Find out more here.
