Throughout my working life, the one thing that has been a mainstay is people’s love of coffee. From the ladylike latte, to the hardcore expresso – or my personal favourite, cafe mocha – there is something for everyone. But have you ever thought about how coffee beans are grown, and how it lands in your cup in the first place?

For a sweet treat to accompany your brunch whip up a chocolate chip cappuccino. You?ll need:

  • 60ml Douwe Egberts Intense Roast ? this will give you a rich aroma and full-bodied taste (or your preferred blend)2 teaspoons chocolate chips
  • 60ml hot milk
  • Whipped cream
  • Cocoa powder

Preparation:

  • Place chocolate chips into the mug
  • Add the hot coffee and stir until the chocolate chips start to melt
  • Top up your mug with the hot milk and finish with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder
