Museums are Free!
Kids will love the Science Museum as there’s loads of hands-on activities for them to do. The Museum of Natural History has a fascinating collection of real dinosaurs (well their teeth, bones and skeletons are real!). Venture to the Horniman and British Museums, where you’ll find Egyptian mummies, Greek statues, and much more.

Kids Week in West End –
This runs until Aug 26th, giving 5-16 year olds the chance to see some of London’s best shows for free. One child can go free to any participating show when accompanied by a full paying adult, and another two children can go for half price! London Dungeons –
A chilling experience with lots of frights along the way. Explore London’s gory and most horrifying history with 14 actor-led shows and three scary rides, all located within the dark depths of the Dungeon. Jolly Day Out –
New Summer Festival for the whole family, Jolly Day Out, which will take place from Friday 26th – Monday 29th August 2011, on Hampton Court Green. BLINK –
A spectacular free event taking place on Margate’s seafront on 27 August. This is one for older children, as it starts at around 9pm. During this special night, Margate will be transformed into a picturesque atmosphere as the beach is lit up with flaming structures. There will be live music, drama/dance performances and fireworks.
