Four things you can do during your lunch break

Whether it’s one hour or half an hour, finding something to do during lunch that can help you stay on top of things, and distress ca be challenging.

Here are some ideas that won’t break the bank:

1. Get a weekly club going
No – this doesn’t have to be another mother and baby group, so breathe easy. This ‘club’ could be a group of like-minded people from your office, or another department who you can meet up with and have a good old laugh once a week.

It can be very soothing to have a laugh, brainstorm and problem-solve with like-minded people about all things that matter to you – work, family etc.

2. Join the gym
Whoever said you need a full hour to use the gym effectively lied. Getting some exercise is a great way to lose some pounds, get re-energised (seriously) and break up your day.

Do some research and find a gym you can use around your workplace that won’t break the bank. If yo can convince some of your colleagues to join with you, you might even get a group discount.

3. Run some errands
If you have a to-do list longer than the marathon, you really could maximise on your time by running some short errands during your lunch break. Whether it’s the online shop, or organising your banking, there’s a lot that can be done if you put your mind up to it.

4. Sleep
Yep! Sometimes, we all need a pick-me-up, and what better way to do it than to take a lunchtime snooze. Obviously, your desk isn’t the best place to do it, but if there’s a meeting room that won’t be used during lunchtime etc, then knock yourself out…literally.
