Today, I have given the iPhone a full charge – I know that BlackBerries are quite generous on battery life, so I don’t want to take any chances. I am going to be out all day and don’t want to get caught short.
Keyboard
So, aside from email, one of my main concerns about using the iPhone is the keyboard. I have been used to actually feeling buttons when I type, so touching glass just doesn’t feel right.
I did cheat a bit, though…

1. I asked Mobilefun.co.uk to send me a bluetooth keyboard case that sits under the iPhone and slides out.
2. I started practicing typing on the screen of my BlackBerry Torch the last few days before the challenge started so it wouldn’t feel so foreign.
Verdict: Actually the typing is nowhere near as difficult as I expected. The buttons are big enough (especially when you hold the iPhone in landscape position) and the predictive text guides you through anyway.
If that’s the only thing that’s putting you off buying an iPhone then don’t let it…it really isn’t that hard to get used to, and if you hate it you can always get a case that lets you get the best of both worlds.
On the subject of the keyboard, you can actually download an app that can change the look of your keyboard.
