It’s not too late to take a staycation break! Here’s how

When you spend your time juggling between looking after the kids and working for a living, it can almost feel like too much effort to organise a holiday on top of everything else – no matter how much you love getting away from it all.

But if you don’t go away, you won’t reap the benefits of a real break from the normal routine; a chance to leave work behind for a week or two and enjoy some real quality time with the kids and your partner.

The trick is to make your holidays as easy as possible. Leave flying out of the equation if it’s too much stress and choose to spend your holiday in the UK.

There are some amazing places to visit in this great country of ours. One such example is booking one of the holiday lodges in Scotland run by Parkdean Holidays. Check out the accommodation available at: Tummel Valley Holiday Park, Pitlochry, Perthshire, PH16 5SA.

This is no ‘roughing it’ campsite, this is a fantastic location with great facilities, all set in the beautiful countryside near Pitlochry. Although you can bring your tent or touring caravan here, if you’re a busy working mum, the the idea of staying in a luxury holiday lodge might appeal more.

Situated by the River Tummel, this holiday park has it all – including a riverside location and access to great fishing and golf, as well as all the tourist attractions in the Highlands. And for those days when the weather lets you down, there’s an indoor heated pool.

Part of the fun a holiday park holiday can bring is the level of independence your children will feel there. There’s plenty of space to run around and play in the woods, lots of other children to make friends with, and there’s an adventure playground and a crazy golf course, too. All of which means you can have some time relaxing on the holiday as well.

A holiday park break can provide a real energy boost for people who usually lead really busy lives – and it’s a great way to see some of the countryside our nation has to offer.
