Jamies Oliver has become a father for the third time.
His wife, Jools, gave birth to Petal Blossom Rainbow at 2.46am on 3rd March.
Petal, who weighed 6lbs 10 oz, will fit in well in the Oliver flower-themed household, with sisters Poppy Honey, seven and Daisy Boo, five.
As they left hospital, Jamie and Jools admitted that the pair would like to try for a boy. He said: “We’re both really happy – she doesn’t know what she’s let herself in for.”
Jamie then added: “Well, I’m happy – she wants another one! She wants a fourth.”
Little Petal came along at the end of a busy week for the chef. Just days previously Jamie was cooking for the world’s leaders at the G20 summit in London. For security reasons, he was not allowed to use his mobile phone, even though his pregnant wife was on the cusp of her due date.
Jamie will now take two weeks’ paternity leave to “spend quality time with my four beautiful girls”.
