MPs claim up to ?23k a year in expenses furnishing 2nd homes

The full list of expenses that MPs can claim has been released under the Freedom of Information Act.

Hilariously, the?main concern?of Parliament’s finance department is not that taxpayers will be outraged to find that their hard earned cash pays for ?10,000 kitchens and ?250 coffee tables for MPs second homes. Instead, they fear that MPs will now try and claim the full amount available to them.

The guide, commonly called the ‘John Lewis list,’ is so called because it ?came out top of all retail shops? in the February 2007 edition of Which? on cost, customer service and variety of goods.
