The iPad challenge: can I really justify my purchase and run my business solely from it?

When the first iPad come out, I have to say that I was curious and wanted to get one, just because of it’s size and the fact that I could seemingly do everything I needed to do from it…or so I thought.

I didn’t buy one, out of principle – I have a laptop, a netbook, an iPod Touch…and I am ever upgrading my smartphones. So really, there s no justification for buying an iPad.

Then, my Asus Eee PC netbook started to give me a lot of problems. I. All honesty, I have had issues with it fro. Day one, and sent it I. Fr repair within less than a month of purchasing it. Two hard drive replacements later, four unsuccessful visits to the Asus “repair centre”, SBL Ltd, I had had enough of not having a working machine…and the thoughts of buying an iPad crept in.

So I bought an iPad and challenged myself to run www.motherswhowork.co.uk solely from the iPad…for a week. I needed to justify the purchase somehow, because replacing the netbook would have cost me half the price of the cost of the iPad!

Over the next few days, I am going to tell you a out my adventures with the iPad, and if you really can use it to run a business…or not…
