No matter how low your budget is, with these fun activities, the whole family will have a smile.

1. Notting Hill Carnival – London’s biggest and most vibrant street carnival returns once again. Bursting with flamboyant floats, world-class costumes, live music and street performances, Children’s Day will take place on Sunday 28th August 2011. While you and your kids enjoy the buzzing atmosphere, you’ll find a wide variety of freshly-cooked delicacies throughout the parade. This family-fun, all day event is absolutely FREE to attend!

2. Westfield London – From Saturday 23rd July, Westfield London will be transformed into a scorching hotspot for six weeks, with live appearances of favourite kid’s characters including Ben 10, Tinga Tinga Tales and Thomas the Tank Engine. What’s more, every Saturday and Sunday, kids and parents can watch selected films for just 95p at Vue Westfield London with the Kids AM offer!

3. V&A Museum – The summer festival at the Museum of Childhood features rickshaw rides, children’s performers and plenty of colour and activity for all ages. Families can browse through the stalls selling everything from plant pots to summer cakes from the Women’s Institute and enjoy a day out in the museum’s gardens.

4. Roller Disco – This is great for all! Whether you’re a pro-skater or never set foot on a pair of wheels, the Roller Disco Family Jam is a strong recommendation from us. The event holds every Saturday from 11am–5pm in The Renaissance Rooms, Vauxhall. It only costs a fiver to watch or participate with your own skates or £7.50 if you need to hire a pair.

5. Legoland – A little pricier than the others, but worth every penny! Take advantage of the beautiful sunshine and explore the land of Lego. This impressive 150-acre park is packed with 55 interactive rides, attractions and shows as well as, launching the first underwater ride in the world, this summer! Visit www.legoland.co.uk for more details.
