One of the biggest problems that people have when it comes to making the most of the working day is that they simply have bad time management. This is something that hinders many mums from ever achieving their full potential success in life and something truly needs to be done to correct that.
Most people will admit that they have trouble with this problem but successful people will talk about how they are able to master the art of managing their time, squeezing more ‘time’ into the normal 168-hour week.
There are two things that you can do to manage your time better and to use your 24 hours to the fullest:
- Plan in your social media time – don’t let it rule your working day
- Stop Procrastinating
Though you do not have to turn the actual connection off, you will need to find a way to get off of time-wasting websites like Facebook and Twitter – and any other social networks while you are working so that you can concentrate on what you need to do and get it done.
Social media is important for all businesses, but that doesn’t mean that you should fit your working days away…it’s akin to spending chunks of your day in the office kitchen, or chatting away by the photocopier all day, every day…that wouldn’t be acceptable in the office, so don’t make it acceptable in your business.
Once you are able to control yourself from going on these sites, you will then start to feel like time is on your side.
If you’re one for putting off things that you know you need to do, then stop today. One way to ensure that you don’t miss off important tasks is to get yourself a notebook with a list.
Successful people have been able to do things in the present and so they are focused on the task at hand. If you are serious about being able to manage your time effectively, then you’ll need to stop procrastinating…right now, not later!
With the right mindset and a little patience, you will be able to finally feel like there is time for other things in life…how badly do you want it?
