Today is the third of our eight-part series on online branding. We'll be looking at why it's important to retain your own identity when branding online, and not copy your competitors.

There are two types of businesses you can start - one which you think up before anyone else, or a business where you improve on what someone else is doing already. Whatever route you go down, at some point you will have some competitors...and you won't be able to (and shouldn't) ignore them! Today's video looks at how you can make you or your business stand out from the crowd - your competitors.

Fast food, soft drinks and car brands normally serve only one or two functions, but because of their branding, people may perceive them to be unique, maybe even superior to other brands in the market!
