Christmas will be coming early for five lucky winners of the Great Grub Club (GGC) online competition.
Aimed at children aged between four and seven, all the contestants have to do is answer the following question ? ?What food do people leave out for Santa?s reindeer?? There are three answers to pick from ? carrots, cake or custard.
Each of the five GGC competition champions, who are chosen at random, will receive a fun book ?Santa Claus is on a diet!? The story is about Santa Claus trying to get fit, as Mrs Claus is worried that he will get stuck down a chimney on Christmas Eve.
Sarah Kovandzich, children?s education manager at World Cancer Research Fund, the charity behind the GGC, said: ?As it is Christmas we thought we would run a special competition for children to win this great prize which is fun as well as being educational. Once they?ve entered the competition they can look at the rest of the site and see that being healthy is cool after all.??
?It?s very easy to overeat all year round and particularly so at Christmas so there is never a better time for our competition. It?s very important that children are taught good food habits at a young age so they take these with them throughout their life.
?Our Great Grub Club website was set up to help to combat childhood obesity and we hope by making eating fruit and vegetables fun that we can encourage a positive attitude to food.?
