Working from home has an untrue image of slouching around in pyjamas doing hardly any work at all…but for those of us who work from home, we know that couldn’t be further from the truth (most days, anyway).

But comfort is key. Getting spruced up in a suit to work from the garden office is a little over the top – your neighbours will start to think that there is something seriously wrong with you…not that they thought you were normal anyway (who really “works” from home, right?).

So PJs are are, tracksuits are out…here’s what’s in:

Dark stretch denim
A trusty pair of smart jeans are a must for every wardrobe. Choose your personal style – stretch, bootcut, skinny – whatever flatters your figure and makes you feel (and look) your best.

Knit tops
A nice cute jumper or jumper shirt matched with your dark jeans will make you feel cosy and comfortable all day. You can wear it over a shirt or nice cotton top and whip it off when you get too hot – working from home is furious work, sometimes!

Before your scroll away, the nice, non bobbly, non-tacky leggings are a comfort must-have! Avoid the see through ones, in case you;re working right up against the clock before the school run – flashing your big pants under leggings won’t do you any favours at the school gates!

Jumper dresses
If you’re a skirt or dress stickler a jumper dress is a great addition to any wardrobe. Throw on a nice pair of knee highs, tights and a blazer if you need to pop out for a quick meeting.

A white shirt
A nice (but not necessarily a very expensive) white shirt is a must for your work from home wardrobe. Team with those lovely dark jeans and you’ll look fab.

A blazer
The brighter the better, where blazers are concerned. Choose block colours, stripes, whatever floats your boat and it will compliment just about every wardrobe going.

What's your reaction?
