This year, we’ve actually seen wonderful summer weather, and part of that enjoyment has meant we’ve splurged on some new clothes.
But what about last year’s stragglers that are clogging up your wardrobe?
Recycle
We love the Channel 4 programme Super Scrimpers because it shows you just what find can be had with old items – including clothes. But that’s not the only resource. If you do a search on YouTube or a search engine, you’ll find lots of bloggers out there who are recycling their clothes by turning them into something else. That shift dress that’s now too short (how does that even happen?) can be turned into a trendy blouse. The flower power dress that was great last season but too dowdy now can be turned into a cute playsuit or jumpsuit. The possibilities are only as limited as your imagination.
Sell
One man’s rubbish is another man’s…you know the saying. If you have clothes that are in good to perfect condition that you have just grown bored of, or new clothes that you haven’t worn and know you’ll never wear again, why not sell them on. Try different websites instead of the age-old ebays and Amazon’s of this world.
Be charitable
If you don’t have the time or the inclination to sell old clothes online why not donate them to charity shops? There are people who really need clothes but just can’t afford them at high street prices so you’ll be helping them out and clearing your wardrobe, too! It’s a win-win.
