Keeping fit and healthy is extremely important for everybody but building a fitness routine into daily lifestyle is not an easy task.
Many people will go to the gym or go for a jog to stay physically fit but not everybody can afford the high monthly cost that gym membership requires, nor do we all have the time to go off on our own for little jogs but there are things that you can do, that will help to keep your fitness levels up regardless of your budget, time or situation.
Chores
Believe it or not, household chores like hovering the stairs, changing bed covers and mowing the lawn are all great cardio workouts that can be done at home. Cleaning windows is also a great way that you can tone arms. You can also use your baby and do gentle lifts with your arms or legs making it a fun process for baby whilst mom is toning those biceps and triceps.
Exercise with your children
All babies and children love to go outdoors and moms and babies can use this time to benefit each other, taking baby for a brisk walk in the pushchair is a great fitness workout for moms and a stroll in the fresh air is something that the baby will also enjoy.
It doesn’t have to cost money…
If you often go shopping and take the bus with your baby, why not consider skipping the bus stop today and walking instead. Buses and babies in pushchairs is always tricky business as I’m sure all mothers would agree so what a great excuse to remove that tiny little stress and begin taking your fitness to a whole new level by walking instead.
Once you begin a new exercise routine you may find it a little difficult at first because you muscles need relaxing and your body needs to adjust to this new physical activity, but if you stick with it, you will find that in time it will become relatively easy and you will be able to push yourself even more.
Once you feel fit enough…
Why not try taking dance classes. Many mothers take their children along and if you have ever fancied trying tango or salsa or lindy hop or even bellydance, this could well be the perfect time to start. It can also be a good bonding experience with your partner if you are able to get a babysitter for a bit. In London there’s always loads of places to try things out.
Dress appropriately for more comfort
Being comfortable is the key to success, so pop on the gym shoes, joggers or go to www.movedancewear.com and get moving in comfort and style whether you feel like venturing out or doing light little exercises around the home.
If you are new to exercise and do not own anything suitable to wear do not worry! Casual everyday clothing can easily be found from most high street stores or markets and is very affordable. You do not have to go out and buy new items specifically used for the gym as anything that allows you to move around freely in, is ideal. Charity shops are also a great way of discovering ideal fitness items at rock bottom prices so keeping fit at home does not have to be a costly.
